Sif was born a second generation goddess of Asgard. She is the wife of the thunder god Thor, and is wll known for her blinding golden hair. Scholars have proposed that Sif's hair represents fields of golden wheat, and that she is associated with fertility, family and wedlock: Her name means “relation to marriage.
